Azerbaijan, Georgia discuss rail transport cooperation prospects

Azerbaijan and Georgia held talks on the current status and future development of rail transport collaboration.
The meeting brought together Rovshan Rustamov, chairman of Azerbaijan Railways, Tamar Ioseliani, Georgia's deputy minister of economy and sustainable development, and Lasha Abashidze, chief executive of Georgian Railways, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Both sides emphasised the need to enhance the competitiveness of the Middle Corridor and to maintain effective cooperation to increase cargo volumes.
They also highlighted the significance of the agreement signed between the Azerbaijani and Georgian railways for regional economic ties and the advancement of rail infrastructure.
