Azerbaijan-Georgia trade approaches $1 billion

Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Georgia reached $959.6 million in January–August 2026, marking a 13.3% increase compared with the same period last year.

Georgia’s National Statistics Office said exports from Georgia to Azerbaijan rose by 5.1% year on year to $484.5 million, accounting for 8.9% of Georgia’s total exports.

Imports from Azerbaijan increased by 23% to $475.1 million, representing 3.8% of Georgia’s total imports during the reporting period.

Azerbaijan accounted for 5.4% of Georgia’s overall foreign trade turnover in the first eight months of 2026.

Georgia’s total foreign trade turnover grew by 8.4% year on year to $17.93 billion. Exports increased by 22.1% to $5.42 billion, while imports rose by 3.4% to $12.50 billion.
