Azerbaijan holds first meeting of Economic Council this year
The first meeting of the Economic Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan this year was held on January 26.
The meeting was led by Chairman of the Economic Council, Prime Minister Ali Asadov, the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers told Azertac.
The country's socio-economic development indicators as of 2023, the Action Plan of the Economic Council for 2024, the results of assessing the effectiveness of benefits and exemptions in the tax and customs spheres, the issues of improving the assessment mechanism, prospects for increasing the sovereign credit rating of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a report on the activity of the Azerbaijani Centre for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication for 2023 and the Action Plan for 2024, as well as the current issues were discussed at the meeting.
Azerbaijani Finance Minister Samir Sharifov, Deputy Finance Minister Azer Bayramov and executive director of the Centre for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication Vusal Gasimli delivered the reports at the meeting.
Following the meeting, taking into account the opinions and proposals of members of the Economic Council, the decisions on the discussed issues were made and the necessary instructions were given to the corresponding organisations.
