Azerbaijan hosts WGPPA meeting to advance procurement audits
Azerbaijan is hosting the Annual Meeting of the Working Group on Public Procurement Audit (WGPPA) of the International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), bringing together representatives of more than 20 supreme audit institutions.
The participants include WGPPA members and observers representing supreme audit institutions from more than 20 countries, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
As a permanent working group of INTOSAI, the WGPPA seeks to improve methodologies for public procurement auditing, promote the exchange of best practices and strengthen international cooperation.
Following the opening ceremony, participants will attend presentations and panel discussions on the latest developments in public procurement auditing, the implementation of international standards, digital solutions, risk-based audit approaches and the experiences of different countries in the field.
The meeting will also feature discussions on the working group's activities, its future work plan and new initiatives.
The event is expected to serve as an important platform for addressing current challenges in public procurement auditing, promoting innovative approaches and further expanding cooperation among supreme audit institutions.
