Azerbaijan-Hungary diplomatic relations developing
We should be proud of the achievements in the development of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Hungary.
The relevant remarks were made by the Hungarian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Viktor Sederkeny, at the event on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Report informs.
Ambassador Sederkeny said the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Hungary in the political, economic, and humanitarian spheres were developing. He has also underlined the mutual interactions at the level of the leadership of both countries.
Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on April 27, 1992. Since the opening of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Hungary, Azerbaijan is doing its best to develop relations with Hungary in all spheres, especially political, economic, and cultural spheres, according to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
Before opening the embassy, only 2 agreements existed between the two courtiers - Protocol on Cooperation between Foreign Ministries (Baku, February 28, 1997) and Agreement between Governments on visa-free travel for holders of diplomatic and service passports (approved by the Governmental law on July 18, 2000). To have a legal basis for fruitful cooperation, the embassy, with the support of the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan, initiated drafts of agreements with different ministries and organizations of Hungary.
Currently, there are more than 30 agreements under discussion, and about half of them are ready for signing.
