Azerbaijan, UNESCO discuss future cooperation during general conference
Azerbaijan's Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov held a meeting with Khaled El-Enany, the newly elected Director-General of UNESCO during the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference,
The meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the conference, was centered on strengthening collaboration between Azerbaijan and the international organisation, Caliber.Az reports per the UNESCO mission's post on X.
In the margins of the 43rd session of the General Conference, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Elnur Mammadov, met with the newly elected Director-General of UNESCO, Dr. Khaled El-Enany.

Mammadov, speaking on behalf of the Azerbaijani government, extended his congratulations to Dr. El-Enany on his recent election as Director-General, expressing best wishes for his success in this new leadership role.
Discussions between the two officials focused on the future prospects for partnership between Azerbaijan and UNESCO, with an emphasis on advancing various global and regional initiatives. Azerbaijan reaffirmed its commitment to supporting UNESCO’s efforts in implementing its wide-ranging programmes and projects, both internationally and within the region.
