Erdoğan at military parade: Brothers across Turkic world share Azerbaijan’s joy
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that brothers across the Turkic world were sharing the same excitement with Azerbaijan as the country marked the fifth anniversary of its Victory Day.
Speaking at a military parade in Baku on November 8, held to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Azerbaijan’s victory in the Patriotic War, Erdoğan conveyed the greetings and congratulations of the 86 million people of Türkiye, emphasising the unity and solidarity between the two nations, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The Turkish leader noted that Türkiye and Azerbaijan were jointly celebrating the fifth anniversary of the great victory that ended 30 years of occupation. He said the liberation of Karabakh was not only a source of immense pride for Azerbaijan but also for the entire Turkic world, calling the achievement a milestone that had been “inscribed in shared history in golden letters.”
Erdoğan underlined the close cooperation between the two countries’ armed forces, saying that Azerbaijani soldiers now stood shoulder to shoulder with Turkish servicemen — a vivid reflection of the phrase “One nation, two states.”
