Azerbaijan, IMF discuss private sector growth, tax reforms, climate action PHOTO
Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov and a delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), led by IMF mission chief for Azerbaijan Anna Bordon, have discussed various topics.
The IMF delegation was informed about key economic indicators, including growth rates, inflation, imports and exports, as well as challenges in the financial sector, the Azerbaijani Economy Ministry told Caliber.Az.
During the meeting, the results of the IMF mission’s activities in Azerbaijan were discussed. The two sides addressed various topics, including boosting the private sector’s role in economic diversification, ensuring sustainable financial opportunities, tax reforms, public-private partnerships, improving transparency, combating climate change, and enhancing the performance of state-owned enterprises.
