Azerbaijan installs 11 hydroelectric stations in liberated lands

Starting from 2021, 11 automatic hydrological stations have been installed on 10 rivers in the liberated territories.

These stations have been operating since 2022, Ragub Miriyev, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, told Report.

According to him, the main purpose of these stations is to measure water flow in rivers, the level and quality of water, and its temperature.

“The data is sent to our National Department of Hydrometeorology and analysed there. It should be noted that all these stations are of a new type, meeting modern standards. Along with automatic hydrological stations, radioecological stations have been installed here, which transmit data on the level of radiation,” he stressed
