Azerbaijan intercepts 43 kg of drugs smuggled from Iran

Azerbaijan has prevented 43 kg of drugs from being smuggled into the country from Iran.

Within the framework of measures to ensure reliable protection of the state border and the fight against illicit drug trafficking, the smuggling of drugs with a total weight of 43.1 kg from Iran to Azerbaijan was prevented on the official territory of the Horadiz border detachment of the Azerbaijani State Border Service's border troops, Caliber.Az reports.

The attempts to violate the country's border with Iran and smuggle drugs into Azerbaijan were registered in Beylagan District and liberated Fuzuli District's Mahmudlu-1 village on January 5 and 6.

An investigation is underway on all the registered facts.
