Azerbaijan invites Swedish investors to make use of Alat Free Economic Zone

Swedish investors have been offered to make use of the favorable conditions created in the Alat Free Economic Zone (FEZ) in Azerbaijan.

The remarks came from the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Sweden, Zaur Ahmedov, at the joint presentation held by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and the Alat Free Economic Zone at the World Trade Center in Stockholm, Report informs.

Ahmadov highlighted the development of the Azerbaijani economy in recent years and the role of the Alat FEZ in its diversification.

According to him, the economic zone creates unique investment opportunities of great interest to all foreign investors, and today investors are able to get acquainted with these opportunities.

Deputy Head of the Department for Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the Swedish Foreign Ministry, Wictoria Amandustin, has highly appreciated the development of relations between Sweden and Azerbaijan in recent years, noting the importance of measures to introduce new investment opportunities from Sweden in Azerbaijan.

For his part, Valeh Aleskerov, Chairman of the Board of the Authorized Structure of the Alat FEZ, said that the economic zone provides favorable conditions for Azerbaijan to create export-oriented manufacturing enterprises that generate added value based on innovative technologies. He called on Swedish companies to take advantage of the favorable conditions created in the Alat FEZ.
