Azerbaijan, Iran explore expanded cooperation in trade Photo

11 December 2025 20:50

Azerbaijan and Iran's Ardabil Province have identified significant opportunities to deepen bilateral cooperation in various sectors, including trade, investment, mining, agriculture, and tourism.

During the meeting, held between Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Alakbarov and a visiting delegation led by Masoud Emami, the governor of Iran’s Ardabil Province, Alakbarov highlighted the strong political will of both Azerbaijan's and Iran's presidents, as well as the longstanding friendly relations between the two countries, which provide a solid foundation for expanding economic ties, Caliber.Az reports via local media

He emphasised that these factors contribute to the positive momentum driving bilateral cooperation.

The discussions also covered potential areas of growth, particularly in mining, agriculture, and tourism, where both nations see substantial opportunities for joint ventures and investment. Both sides agreed to continue exploring new avenues for collaboration to further strengthen their economic partnership.
