Azerbaijan, ISO mull implementation of international standards

Azerbaijan's State Service for Antimonopoly Control and Supervision of the Consumer Market has hosted a meeting with Silvio Dulinsky, Deputy Secretary-General of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

Deputy Head of the State Service Ilgar Hasanov briefed ISO representatives on the country's ongoing efforts to enhance quality infrastructure, Caliber.Az reports citing local media.

Hasanov also detailed the reforms being carried out in the fields of standardization, metrology, accreditation, and conformity assessment, as well as the measures being implemented to introduce new standards under the "State Program for 2023-2025 on Aligning the National Standardization System with International Requirements."

The sides also exchanged views on ISO's quality assurance policies, further promotion of international standards, and other related issues.
