Azerbaijan, Israel discuss strengthening of energy cooperation PHOTO
Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov held a meeting with Israeli Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Eli Cohen to discuss the enhancement of energy cooperation.
“As part of our working visit to Israel, we held a meeting with Eli Cohen, Israel’s Minister of Energy and Infrastructure. Our discussions focused on initiatives and projects aimed at strengthening economic relations and advancing the energy cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and Israel," Caliber.Az reports, citing Jabbarov's X page.
Energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel has developed significantly in recent years, most notably in the hydrocarbon sector, with both countries emphasizing long-term partnerships in oil supply, petrochemical trade and downstream projects. Both countries continue to discuss their prospects for expanding this cooperation.
Additionally, Azerbaijan and Israel are interested in expanding cooperation in areas such as the reconstruction of liberated territories, energy, healthcare, digitalization, investment, innovation, ICT, agriculture, water management, and tourism.
As part of the 3rd meeting of the Azerbaijan-Israel Intergovernmental Commission, a number of agreements were signed to further expand cooperation in the energy sector. These agreements aim to strengthen energy collaboration and improve the efficient use of resources.
Overall, energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel continues to develop and expand through various projects.
