Azerbaijan, Italy sign economic cooperation documents

Azerbaijan and Italy have strengthened their economic ties after signing agreements during the sixth meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation in Baku.

The protocol from the session was signed by Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and Italy’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Edmondo Chirieli, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

In addition to the protocol, the commission approved a joint action plan for 2026–2027, which outlines 65 initiatives across 18 areas of cooperation.

Today, the sixth meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Italy was held in Baku.
