Azerbaijan–Italy trade falls 9.4% in January–April

Bilateral trade between Azerbaijan and Italy totalled $3.86 billion in January–April 2026, marking a 9.4% decline compared with the same period last year, according to data from the State Customs Committee.
The figures show a divergence between exports and imports over the period, Caliber.Az reports.
Azerbaijan’s exports to Italy fell by 9.8% year-on-year to $3.71 billion. Despite the decline, exports continued to account for the bulk of trade, making up 31.23% of the total structure, down from 46.82% a year earlier.
In contrast, imports from Italy rose by 2.1% to $153.89 million. Their share of overall trade increased to 2.79%, compared with 1.85% in January–April 2025.
