Azerbaijan, ITU talk over key preparations for World Telecommunication Development Conference
Rashad Nabiyev, Minister of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan, and Cosmas Zavazava, Director of the Telecommunication Development Bureau of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), have discussed bilateral cooperation and preparations for upcoming global events.
Minister Nabiyev shared the details of the meeting on his X page, Caliber.Az reports.

Azərbaycanla qurum arasında əməkdaşlıq məsələlərini müzakirə etdik.
"We discussed our joint participation at COP29, which held in Baku in 2024, as well as the ongoing preparations for the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC), which will take place in Azerbaijan in November this year," Nabiyev wrote.
Cosmas Zavazava is currently on a visit to Azerbaijan, where the discussions focused on strengthening collaboration ahead of the high-profile conference.
To recap, the WTDC is one of the largest and most important ITU events, held every four years to address topics such as cybersecurity, digital inclusion, ICT applications, innovation, ICT statistics and indicators, as well as ICT regulation and development, among other related areas, projects, and programmes.
The event aims to bring together world leaders, experts, and other stakeholders in the field to discuss and develop strategies for the future development of ICT.
