Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan discuss AI use in financial sector supervision

13 June 2026 17:51

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan’s Agency for the Regulation and Development of the Financial Market have discussed the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies into financial supervision and broader digital transformation efforts in the sector.

According to Azerbaijan’s Central Bank, the discussions took place during a visit by an Azerbaijani delegation to Almaty, where officials reviewed Kazakhstan’s supervisory systems and digital infrastructure, Caliber.Az reports via local media

The delegation examined a range of tools used by Kazakhstan’s financial regulator, including data dashboards designed to quickly convert raw information into analytical indicators, as well as integrated stress-testing systems used in supervisory processes.

Both sides also explored ways to improve the effectiveness of financial oversight through the adoption of AI-based solutions, drawing on international best practices and identifying opportunities for future cooperation.
