Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan eye justice cooperation within Organization of Turkic States
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Justice, Farid Ahmadov, has met with Kazakhstan’s Minister of Justice, Yerlan Sarsembayev, to discuss possible justice-related cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
During the meeting, both sides emphasised that the existing strategic partnership between the two countries is at a high level and highlighted the importance of mutual cooperation, Caliber.Az reports via the Azerbaijani Ministry of Justice.
The parties noted that agreements signed between the two nations contribute to expanding collaboration, with particular emphasis on providing legal assistance and exchanging practical experience based on international accords.
Moreover, the meeting heard discussions on issues related to the enforcement of court decisions and the application of special coercive measures, notarial activities, digitalisation and the use of artificial intelligence in the field of justice, the use of citizen-oriented digital solutions, and the continuation of mutual exchange of experience in the field of forensic expertise.
To strengthen the institutional foundations of cooperation, plans were outlined for internships for Kazakh judges at Azerbaijan’s Academy of Justice, aimed at fostering professional exchange and capacity building.
