Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan sign deal for joint production of hot-briquetted iron PHOTO
Azerbaijan’s Dashkasan Iron Ore LLC and Kazakh company Fonte GreenMet Investments Fund have signed an agreement to establish a joint venture for the production of hot-briquetted iron (HBI).
Economy Minister Mikail Jabbarov announced the development on his official X account, highlighting the collaboration as a step forward in regional industrial cooperation, Caliber.Az reports.
“Within the framework of the 1st Azerbaijan International Investment Forum held in Baku, a contract was signed between "Dashkasan Iron Ore" LLC and "Fonte GreenMet Investments Fund" to establish a joint venture for the production of high–iron-content hot briquetted iron (HBI),”
Minister Jabbarov noted that this initiative represents a major step in creating a fully integrated value chain within Azerbaijan’s metallurgical sector.
He added that the joint venture “will enhance the country’s export potential and stimulate the production of high–value–added products.”
