Azerbaijan, Kuwait discuss implementation of joint oil refining projects
Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov and Tareq Sulaiman Al-Roumi, Kuwait’s Minister of Oil and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, discussed implementation of oil refining projects as part of the Azerbaijani minister's official working visit to the State of Kuwait.
The meeting underscored the strengthening economic ties between Azerbaijan and Kuwait, with both sides expressing satisfaction over the growing momentum in bilateral relations, particularly in the energy sector, Jabbarov wrote on X, Caliber.Az reports.

Discussions focused on a wide range of collaborative opportunities, including the implementation of joint oil refining projects and the expansion of trade in oil and gas products. The two officials also explored avenues for cooperation in both conventional energy production and renewable energy development.
Minister Jabbarov highlighted Azerbaijan’s active participation in regional and global energy initiatives, and emphasised the country’s strategic approach to managing natural resources during the global transition to a more sustainable and diversified energy economy.
