Azerbaijan, Kuwait explore investment, trade expansion during ministerial talks PHOTO
Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov met with Director General of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry Rabah Abdulrahman Al-Rabah and Kuwaiti Finance Minister Subaih Abdul Aziz Abdul Muhsen Al-Mukhaizeem during a working visit to the country.
“During our working visit to the State of Kuwait, we held discussions with Rabah Abdulrahman Al-Rabah, Director General of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry, on increasing trade turnover, promoting mutual investment-s, and strengthening dialogue between business circles,” Caliber.Az quotes Jabbarov as saying in a post on X.
The Azerbaijani minister noted that the meeting highlighted the importance of broadening the economic cooperation agenda and deepening collaboration in energy, industrial zones, and joint production initiatives.
In another X post, Jabbarov highlighted the outcomes of the meeting with Kuwait’s finance minister: “… we were pleased to meet with Subaih Abdul Aziz Abdul Muhsen Al-Mukhaizeem, who serves as Minister of Finance, Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Acting State Minister for Economic Affairs and Investment, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Investment Authority.”
“We provided an overview of Azerbaijan’s favorable investment environment and emphasized the ongoing expansion of economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kuwait,” the post reads.
Jabbarov also wrote that he discussed with Al-Mukhaizeem the opportunities for collaboration in trade, tourism, traditional and renewable energy, agriculture, transportation, and transit sectors.
