Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan explore oil supply & agricultural trade opportunities
Azerbaijan has discussed the prospects of oil supplies to Kyrgyzstan and imports of Kyrgyz agricultural products, including mutton and beans.
The discussions took place during a meeting of the country's ambassador to Azerbaijan Maksat Mamytkanov with Azerbaijan’s first deputy economy minister Elnur Aliyev, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The parties considered issues of cargo transportation and its volume along the route China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Caspian Sea-Azerbaijan, taking into account the construction of China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway. The sides agreed to continue joint work in this direction.
They also discussed the functioning of the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund, the authorized capital of which was increased to $100 million following an addendum to the agreement on the authorized fund signed during President Sadyr Zhaparov's state visit to Azerbaijan in April 2024.
