Azerbaijan leads push for financial sector coordination in Turkic bloc PHOTO
Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov has met with participants of the Baku session of the Council of Central Banks of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), focusing on prospects for expanding financial and banking cooperation among member countries.
According to Azerbaijan’s Cabinet of Ministers, the meeting highlighted the significance of the council session and expressed confidence that it would contribute to deeper cooperation between the financial sectors of OTS member states while strengthening the role of central banks in advancing regional economic integration, Caliber.Az reports.

The participants noted that Azerbaijan, which holds the chairmanship of the Organization of Turkic States this year, is placing particular emphasis on broadening cooperation in trade and economic relations, investment, transport, energy, finance, humanitarian affairs, and other strategic areas.
Discussions also covered the ongoing reforms underway in Azerbaijan to modernize the financial and banking sector, improve the quality of financial services, enhance transparency, and reinforce the stability of the banking system. The sides highlighted the progress achieved through these initiatives and their contribution to the country’s economic development.
In addition, the meeting addressed opportunities for further strengthening financial and banking cooperation within the OTS framework, underscoring the importance of closer coordination among member states in supporting sustainable economic growth and regional connectivity.
