Azerbaijan, Lithuania expanding cooperation in agriculture

Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Agriculture Elchin Zeynalov has met the delegation of the Seimas of Lithuania headed by Chairman of the Working Group on Lithuania-Azerbaijan Inter-Parliamentary Relations Kazys Starkevicius.

During the event, the meeting participants were informed about state support for agriculture in Azerbaijan, and ongoing reforms in the agrarian sector, Report informs citing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Agriculture.

Azerbaijan and Lithuania discussed the current situation in agriculture. The relations in agriculture, as well as in all spheres of the economy, are developing between Lithuania and Azerbaijan.

The issues of increasing the import and export turnover of agricultural products between Azerbaijan and Lithuania, attracting investments in the Azerbaijani agricultural sector, and exchanging experience in scientific research in various fields of agriculture were discussed at the event.
