Azerbaijan, Moldova eye stronger economic partnership
Azerbaijan and Moldova have discussed prospects for deepening bilateral economic cooperation and expanding partnerships across a range of key sectors, including energy, trade, investment, agriculture, and information and communication technologies.
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov shared details of the discussions in a post on the social media platform X following a meeting with Moldova’s Minister of Energy, Dorin Junghietu, on the sidelines of Baku Energy Week, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Jabbarov noted that the talks focused on strengthening economic ties between the two countries and identifying new avenues for cooperation.
“We discussed prospects for deepening economic cooperation between our two countries, as well as opportunities to expand partnership in the fields of energy, trade, agriculture, information and communication technologies, and investment,” the minister wrote.
The discussions also highlighted the strong potential for further development of business relations between Azerbaijan and Moldova, with both sides expressing interest in broadening collaboration in areas of mutual benefit.
The meeting formed part of broader engagements taking place during Baku Energy Week, which has brought together government officials, industry leaders, and international partners to discuss regional energy cooperation and economic development.
