Azerbaijan nears 30% renewable energy share in daily power generation

Currently, approximately 30 per cent of the electricity generated in Azerbaijan comes from renewable energy sources.

On April 6, a total of 62.6 million kWh of electricity was generated in Azerbaijan, of which 18.2 million kWh (29.1%) came from renewable sources, the Ministry of Energy said, Caliber.Az reports. 

Within the structure of “green” energy, 12.4 million kWh of electricity was generated at hydroelectric power plants, and 5.8 million kWh at solar and wind power plants.
