Azerbaijan-North Macedonia ties deepen with new visa-free agreement for diplomats
A new chapter in Azerbaijan-North Macedonia relations was written this week as Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and his counterpart from Northern Macedonia, Timčo Mucunski, met in Baku for high-level talks.
The meeting, which took place alongside the official visit of Northern Macedonian President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, marked a significant milestone in bilateral diplomacy, Caliber.Az reports.
One of the key outcomes of the discussions was the signing of an agreement to exempt holders of diplomatic and service passports from visa requirements, announced by the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry on X, a move aimed at enhancing diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations.

The signing ceremony, which took place within the framework of the ongoing talks, highlighted the growing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Northern Macedonia. In a statement released by the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the agreement was lauded as a crucial step toward fostering closer ties.
President Siljanovska Davkova’s visit to Azerbaijan also included engagements beyond official meetings. She toured key landmarks, including Victory Park, the Alley of Honorable Burial, and ADA University, taking in Azerbaijan's rich culture and history.
The diplomatic progress between Baku and Skopje continues to unfold, with both sides eager to deepen their ties in areas such as trade, education, and cultural exchange.
