Azerbaijan, Oman explore new avenues for economic cooperation PHOTO
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with Oman’s Minister of Economy, Said bin Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Saqri, during a working visit to the Sultanate of Oman to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation.
According to Caliber.Az, Minister Jabbarov shared details of the meetings on his X page, highlighting discussions aimed at enhancing trade, investment, and sectoral collaboration between the two countries.
“Within the framework of our working visit to the Sultanate of Oman, we were pleased to meet with Said bin Mohammed bin Ahmed Al, Minister of Economy of Oman. During the meeting, we discussed the strengthening of economic relations, the realization of cooperation potential in trade and investment, and the promotion of joint initiatives in energy, industrial zones, tourism, small and medium-sized businesses, and transit,” Jabbarov said.
He added that both sides “exchanged views on Azerbaijan’s advantageous geographical location and high transit efficiency, which create favorable conditions for attracting foreign investments.”
As part of the same visit, the Azerbaijani delegation also met with Sultan bin Salem Al Habsi, Oman’s Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority (OIA), and Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of the OIA, to discuss priorities for business partnerships.
“We held a meeting with Sultan bin Salem Al Habsi, Oman’s Minister of Finance, Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority (OIA), and Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of OIA, to discuss the priorities of our business partnership,” Jabbarov noted.
He said the sides explored opportunities to promote mutual investments between Azerbaijan and Oman, expand joint investment activities at the regional level, and refine cooperation mechanisms to further strengthen business relations.
