Azerbaijan - one of four countries in terms of real GDP growth in Europe, Central Asia
Head of the department at the Azerbaijani Centre for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication Agil Asadov has said that according to the World Bank’s forecasts, the growth of the Azerbaijani economy will be by 1.1 percentage points more than in the world and 2.7 percentage points more than in Europe and Central Asia in 2023.
Asadov was commenting on the World Bank's "Global Economic Prospects" report for 2023, Report informs.
Asadov noted that Azerbaijan is one of four countries in terms of real GDP growth dynamics in Europe and Central Asia in 2023 compared to the forecast published in June 2022.
The World Bank estimates the expectations of the global economy in accordance with the new forecast of 1.7 per cent against the forecasted growth of three per cent.
Per capita income growth in 2023 is projected to be lower than before the COVID-19 pandemic.
