Azerbaijan, Pakistan discuss expanding investment cooperation Photo
Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy, Mikayil Jabbarov, met with the National Coordinator of Pakistan's Special Investment Facilitation Council, Lieutenant General Sarfaraz Ahmad, to discuss expanding bilateral investment cooperation.
The two officials engaged in talks aimed at diversifying business partnerships and strengthening the economic ties between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, Caliber.Az reports.
Minister Jabbarov shared details of the meeting on his social media account, stating:
“During our visit to Pakistan, we held a meeting with Lieutenant General Sarfaraz Ahmad, National Coordinator of Pakistan’s Special Investment Facilitation Council.”
He further added, “We exchanged views on diversifying the business partnership between our countries, strengthening ties between our business communities, implementing new investment projects in energy, infrastructure, mining and other sectors, as well as exploring opportunities to increase bilateral investments.”
The discussions highlighted the potential for collaboration in various sectors, with both sides expressing optimism about future economic cooperation and opportunities for joint investment projects.
Earlier, Jabbarov, met with Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, to discuss boosting economic cooperation between their countries.
In a social media post, Jabbarov shared, "As part of our visit to Pakistan, we had the pleasure of meeting with Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs,"
He added, "Our discussions focused on advancing the economic cooperation agenda between our nations, with an emphasis on promoting mutual investments and developing projects to expand energy and trade relations."
