Azerbaijan, Pakistan discuss prospects of economic cooperation

Azerbaijan and Pakistan have exchanged views on prospects of cooperation in various spheres of the economy, including trade, investment, industry and energy.

The discussions were held at the meeting of Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov with a Pakistani delegation, which is on a visit to Baku, Report informed on February 22.

The meeting, attended by Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Federal Minister of the Pakistan Investment Council, Syed Murtaza Mehmood, Minister of Industry and Production, and Musadik Masood Malik, Minister of State for Petroleum, emphasised the close friendly and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.

The parties noted that there is great potential for strengthening economic cooperation and touched on the role of the meetings held and the effective discussions in expanding the partnership.
