Azerbaijan pledges massive investment to modernize agriculture by 2030
Azerbaijan plans to allocate approximately AZN 2 billion ($1.18 billion) from the state budget to implement the 2026–2030 State Program for the Development of Agricultural, Fishery and Aquaculture Production and Processing, Finance Minister Sahil Babayev announced.
Babayev made the statement during a plenary session of the Milli Majlis while lawmakers were discussing the draft law on the execution of the 2025 state budget, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The minister said agriculture remains one of the priority sectors of Azerbaijan's non-oil economy and continues to receive substantial government support through subsidies, preferential incentives and other assistance mechanisms.
"The State Program is one of the key strategic documents marking a new stage in the development of the country's agricultural policy," Babayev said.
