Azerbaijan, PowerChina discuss implementation of power plant project in Hajigabul

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy, Mikayil Jabbarov, has met with Executive Vice President of the Chinese company PowerChina Resources Ltd., He Shiyou, to discuss the implementation status of a solar power plant project in Azerbaijan's Hajigabul region. 

Jabbarov emphasised that the discussion provided an opportunity to review the current status of the joint project and outline the next steps for its implementation, Caliber.Az reports, citing Jabbarov's page on X.

The meeting also touched upon the prospects for the Chinese company’s participation in potential investment projects within Azerbaijan’s energy sector, the minister noted.

For the record, the project is being implemented in partnership with SOCAR Green, a subsidiary of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
