Azerbaijan presents Museum of Mountain Jews at expo in Israel PHOTO
An Azerbaijani delegation took part in the International Mediterranean Tourism Market (IMTM) 2026, held on February 3–4 at the Expo Tel Aviv exhibition centre in Israel.
Azerbaijan traditionally participated in the exhibition with its own national stand, STMEGI News reports.
This year, it showcased major Azerbaijani tourism companies, as well as the settlement of Girmizi Gasaba (Red Village) in the country's Guba region and the Mountain Jews Museum located there.

Museum Director Igor Shaulov met with representatives of tourism companies and private entrepreneurs. Visitors to the stand were informed in detail about Girmizi Gasaba, the history of Mountain Jews in Azerbaijan, the country’s traditions of multiculturalism, and Jewish heritage sites available for tourists to visit.
IMTM 2026 is considered one of the largest professional events in the Eastern Mediterranean tourism industry, bringing together companies and experts from around the world. This year’s official guests included Israeli Tourism Minister Haim Katz.
