Azerbaijan promotes tourism at major Istanbul exhibition PHOTO
Azerbaijan is showcasing its tourism potential at the 29th Eastern Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Exhibition (EMITT 2026) in Istanbul.
The Azerbaijani Tourism Bureau is presenting the country’s attractions at a national stand featuring 11 representatives from the tourism sector and Azerbaijan Airlines, Caliber.Az report.
The stand, branded “Experience Azerbaijan”, is hosting B2B and B2C meetings, offering detailed information on the country’s cultural and natural heritage, as well as its tourism offerings, including gastronomic tours, ski resorts, winemaking, and wellness tourism.
The exhibition, which runs until February 7, brings together 660 tour operators from 109 countries.
In January 2026, Azerbaijan welcomed 36,536 Turkish visitors, marking a 16% increase compared with the same period last year.
The 29th Eastern Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Exhibition (EMITT 2026) is currently taking place at the Istanbul Expo Centre, bringing together industry professionals and travel enthusiasts from around the world.
The long-standing exhibition is a key platform for the tourism sector, offering new opportunities for collaboration and growth for both the Turkish and international travel industries.
