Azerbaijan reaffirms support for Georgia, rejects Tskhinvali "election" results

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has commented on the so-called parliamentary elections in Tskhinvali, Georgia, held on June 9.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan once again reaffirms its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia, and does not recognize the so-called "parliamentary elections" and their results held in the Tskhinvali region of Georgia on June 9, 2024," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Ministry's press service.
