Azerbaijan reports 0.4% growth in non-oil sector
Azerbaijan’s non-oil sector recorded growth in the January–May period of this year, according to the State Statistics Committee.
It said the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) totalled 51.7538 billion manats (approx. $30.4 billion) during the first five months of the year, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The overall figure remained unchanged compared to the same period last year.
GDP in the oil and gas sector declined by 1%, amounting to 16.1254 billion manats. In contrast, the non-oil sector grew by 0.4% to 35.6584 billion manats.
The data showed that Azerbaijan’s economy grew by 1.4% in 2025.
The Ministry of Economy forecasts GDP growth of 1.7% for the current year, including 3.7% growth in the non-oil sector and a projected 3.3% decline in the oil and gas sector.
