Azerbaijan reveals data on oil, gas production since early 2023 Nearly 624 million tonnes from ACG field
Around 623.9 million tonnes of oil (including condensate) have been produced since the start of operation of the Azeri-Chirag-Deepwater Gunashli (ACG) and Shah Deniz fields as of October 1, 2023.
During the specified period, 580.4 million tonnes of oil were produced from ACG, and about 43.5 million tons of condensate from Shah Deniz, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Energy Ministry.
From January to September 2023, 36.1 billion cubic metres of natural gas were produced in Azerbaijan.
Gas production increased by 5 per cent or 1.7 billion cubic meters compared to the same period in 2022.
Of this, 9.6 billion cubic metres were produced at the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) field block, 19.7 billion cubic metres at the Shah Deniz field, 400 million cubic metres at the Absheron field, 6.4 billion cubic meters - Azerbaijan State Oil Company (SOCAR).
On an annual basis, gas production at ACG decreased by 400 million cubic metres or 4.2 per cent, and gas production at the Shah Deniz field increased by 1.2 billion cubic metres or 6.5 per cent.
Gas production by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) increased by 500 million cubic metres or 8.5 per cent.
Azerbaijan refined 4.9 million tonnes of oil during the same period, which is 8.9 per cent more as compared to a year earlier. Meanwhile, the volume of oil processing in the country reached 4.5 million tonnes.
