Azerbaijan reveals top importers of its non-oil products
In the first half of 2024, Russia emerged as the leading importer of non-oil products from Azerbaijan.
During this period, Azerbaijan exported non-oil goods worth $541.7 million to Russia, Caliber.Az reports.
This figure represents a slight decrease of 1.9% compared to the same timeframe in 2023, reflecting a modest dip in trade volume with Russia.
Türkiye ranked second in the importation of Azerbaijani non-oil products. The volume of exports to Türkiye dropped significantly by 40.1%, totalling $306.9 million. This decrease highlights a substantial reduction in trade between the two nations over the past six months.
Georgia, holding the third position, imported Azerbaijani non-oil products worth $113.7 million. This amount marks a notable decline of 36.9% from the previous year, indicating a decrease in trade activity with Georgia.
The United States and Oman occupied the fourth and fifth spots, respectively. The export volume of Azerbaijani non-oil products to the USA reached $99.1 million, reflecting an impressive 19.1-fold increase compared to the same period last year. Oman saw an even more remarkable surge, with exports rising to $65.5 million, which represents a staggering 163.75-fold growth. This dramatic increase underscores a significant expansion of trade between Azerbaijan and Oman.
