Azerbaijan reveals total volume of humanitarian aid to Türkiye
Azerbaijan has announced the total volume of humanitarian aid to Türkiye.
Seven planes and one caravan of vehicles were sent from Azerbaijan to the brotherly country from February 6 till the present time, Report informs.
On the instructions of the head of state, Azerbaijan is providing large-scale aid to Türkiye to deal with the aftermath of the devastating earthquake.
The first aircraft took off at 1.25 pm local time on February 6 and carried 168 personnel Emergencies Ministry personnel to the disaster area.
The second aircraft departed at 5.25 pm local time on February 6 with 233 personnel from the Emergencies Ministry personnel and rescue equipment onboard.
The third aircraft departed on 6 February at 20.50, bringing to Türkiye 21 rescuers from the Emergencies Ministry personnel and rescue equipment.
The fourth aircraft departed on February 7 at 09:40 with 41 medical personnel and four containers for the mobile field hospital.
A fifth aircraft departed at 14:00 on February 7, carrying three containers for the mobile field hospital and cargo to support Emergencies Ministry personnel.
The sixth aircraft departed at 01:00 hours on February 8, carrying four Emergencies Ministry personnel, food to sustain the personnel and humanitarian aid.
The seventh aircraft departed at 09:46 on February 8, carrying 229 emergency services personnel, rescue equipment and emergency services supplies.
At 01:00 on February 8, a caravan of 14 trucks will deliver 29 personnel, four field kitchens, humanitarian aid and the provision of Emergencies Ministry personnel to Türkiye.
A total of 725 Emergencies Ministry personnel have been sent to Türkiye since the tragedy until today. Of these, 34 were medical personnel and seven were technicians.
