Azerbaijan has reviewed its latest progress in the negotiations to join the World Trade Organization (WTO), according to Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov.
Commenting on the meeting of the national Commission on Preparation for WTO Membership on X, Jabbarov said officials assessed developments so far and discussed priorities for the next phase of talks, Caliber.Az reports.

The discussions centered on strengthening the competitiveness of domestic production, expanding export potential, and bringing key sectors of the economy in line with international trade standards. The minister noted that the commission also identified the steps Azerbaijan will take as it moves forward in the accession process.
Azerbaijan has been engaged in WTO accession negotiations for years, with the government emphasising that membership would support economic diversification and deeper integration into global trade systems.
