Azerbaijan, Romania strengthen economic ties with signed protocol
A protocol on the results of the 8th meeting of the Joint Commission on trade-economic relations and scientific-technical cooperation between the governments of Azerbaijan and Romania was signed in Baku on April 1.
The document was signed by the Commission's co-chairmen - Labour and Social Protection Minister Sahil Babayev and Romanian Energy Minister Sebastian Ioan Burduja, Report informs.
Memorandums of understanding on cooperation in the field of veterinary medicine and food security were also signed.
Speaking at the meeting, Sahil Babayev said that relations between Azerbaijan and Romania have reached the level of strategic partnership.
The Romanian Minister of Energy, in turn, said his country attaches great importance to expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan and expressed hope that the meeting would make an important contribution in this direction.
