Azerbaijan, Russia explore deeper economic cooperation in spatial data, cadastre systems Photo
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has held talks with a Russian delegation led by Oleg Skufinskiy, the Director of Russia’s Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography (Rosreestr), as part of efforts to deepen bilateral economic ties.
In a post shared on his official X account, Jabbarov said the discussions focused on multiple areas of cooperation, including the exchange of expertise and the improvement of spatial data infrastructure.
“We held a meeting with the delegation led by Oleg Skufinskiy, Head of Russia’s Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography. We discussed enhancing economic cooperation between our countries, sharing expertise between the Ministry of Economy and the Federal Service, optimizing the use of registry and cadastre data, as well as establishing a robust national spatial infrastructure,” he wrote.
To recall, the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography (Rosreestr) is Russia’s federal executive body overseeing property rights registration, real estate cadastre, land management, geodesy, and cartography.
Established in 2009 through the merger of three agencies, Rosreestr manages the Unified State Register of Real Estate and the State Real Estate Cadastre, facilitating over 25 million property transactions annually
Rosreestr has implemented significant reforms to enhance service efficiency, including digitization and integration with other government systems. These improvements have reduced property registration times from 30 to 8 working days, with some cases completed in a single day.
The agency also provides online access to property data, promoting transparency and reducing corruption.
