Azerbaijan, Russia to cooperate in mountain tourism

Consultant of the international cooperation department of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development Mikhail Serov has said that Azerbaijan and Russia may cooperate in mountain tourism.

Serov made these remarks at the “First meeting of Higher Education Institutions Specialised in Tourism Education within the Organisation of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC)” in Baku, organised by the Azerbaijan State Tourism Agency and the BSEC, Report informs.

"The cooperation in mountain tourism between Azerbaijan and Russia at the state level is being considered. Ski resorts in Azerbaijan are very popular," he noted.

Serov added that the need to ensure safety on the ski slopes, as well as the safety of tourists are on the agenda.
