Azerbaijan’s agriculture minister visits Georgia to deepen sector cooperation
A delegation led by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Agriculture, Majnun Mammadov, has begun an official visit to Georgia aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector.
During the trip, the minister held a bilateral meeting with Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia David Songulashvili, followed by an expanded meeting between the delegations, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Agriculture.
During the meetings, the sides exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation in the field of agriculture between the two countries.
The Azerbaijani minister is also scheduled to meet with Minister of Education, Science and Youth Givi Mikanadze, and Gela Samkharauli, Chairman of the Georgian Parliament's Committee on Agricultural Issues.
The meetings will focus on current priorities in agricultural collaboration, including opportunities to expand joint projects and sectoral partnerships.
The Azerbaijani delegation will also tour farms and agricultural processing facilities to observe local practices and explore areas for future cooperation.
