Azerbaijan’s digital official discusses tech cooperation with IBM in US

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Digital Development and Transport, Rashad Nabiyev, held a meeting with IBM’s Executive Director for Global Strategic Initiatives, Dima Alatel, during his visit to the United States.

According to Nabiyev, the discussions focused on Azerbaijan’s digital transformation agenda, including the development of a sovereign cloud, data and quantum computing platforms, and the digitalisation of state-owned enterprises. He noted that the sides also explored potential cooperation in logistics-related technology projects, Caliber.Az reports. 

Both parties additionally exchanged views on establishing long-term strategic partnerships, investment models, innovation centers, and training programs aimed at advancing technological capacity in Azerbaijan.
