Azerbaijan’s energy, logistics potential presented in Switzerland

A round table has been held on the topic "Azerbaijan 2022: Energy Source and Logistics Hub for Europe and Asia" in Switzerland’s capital Geneva.

The event was organized this week by the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services (CCIG) with the assistance of the Joint Chamber of Commerce (JCC), which promotes business between Switzerland, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the South Caucasus, as well as with the support of the Azerbaijani Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) and SOCAR Trading, Report informs, citing SMBDA.

The round table was addressed by the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Switzerland Fuad Isgandarov, SMBDA Chairman Orkhan Mammadov, CCIG Director Natalie Hardin, JCC Managing Director Dorit Sallis, Head of Department State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of the Swiss Confederation (SECO) for the South Caucasus and other countries Seraina Sigron and representative of SOCAR Trading Tagi Tagizade.

During the event, the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) and the Swiss company M&M held presentations on support and services for SMEs in Azerbaijan, investment potential, logistics, and energy opportunities in the country.

In addition, within the event, a memorandum of understanding on cooperation was signed between SMBDA, JCC and Swiss Alternative Financing (SAFAG) company.
