Azerbaijan's foreign trade surplus tops $460 million

Azerbaijan carried out trade operations with foreign countries in the amount of nearly $3.3 billion in January 2023, which is 19 per cent less compared to the same month of 2022.

Over $1.87 billion in the total foreign trade volume accounted for exports, and $1.41 billion - for imports, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.

Over the past year, exports decreased by 39.2 per cent, while imports increased by 44.9 per cent.

As a result, the positive trade balance slumped 4.6 times in annual terms and settled at $464 million.
