Azerbaijan’s non-oil export increases
From January to May 2022, the overall export of Azerbaijan amounted to $15.4 billion, including non-oil exports worth $1.2 billion.
Compared to 2021, exports of the non-oil sector increased by $280.6 million, or 30.9 per cent, Caliber.Az reports, referring to the recently-released "Export Review" of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications.
The export of fruits and vegetables from the country increased by 6.4 per cent in the mentioned period compared to the same period last year and settled at $219.2 million.
Over the first months of 2022, Azerbaijan’s export of chemical products surged 8 times, aluminium and related products – by 2 times, ferrous metals and related products - by 49.8 per cent, cotton yarn - by 23.7 per cent, and cotton fibre - by 14.5 per cent.
